This Privacy Policy explains how Melissa Jacques, a real estate agent licensed in Florida (License #3545575) and affiliated with Legacy Real Estate Partners, collects, uses, and safeguards information submitted through https://melissajacques.com (the "Site").

This policy applies to visitors in the United States. The Site is not directed to or intended for use outside the United States, and by using the Site you confirm that you are accessing it from within the United States.

We do not offer rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation because the Site is not directed to residents of those jurisdictions.

Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information:

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form or the home valuation form, we receive the information you enter, which may include:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number

  • Any message or comments you include

  • The property address you submit for valuation requests

Information collected automatically

Our server receives standard request data (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamps) generated whenever a browser loads a web page. This data is used for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.

Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from automated submissions, sets its own cookies and collects hardware, software, and behavioral information as described in its own privacy policy. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, linked below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry, showing request, or valuation request

  • Provide real estate services you have asked about

  • Follow up by email or phone to the contact information you provide; we do not send marketing text messages, and we will only send SMS where you have given prior express written consent

  • Maintain records required by Florida real estate regulations

  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our forms

Third-Party Services

We use the following third parties to operate the Site. Each of them processes data subject to its own privacy policy:

  • Google reCAPTCHA — bot protection on the contact and valuation forms.

  • An SMTP email provider — used to deliver form submissions to the realtor inbox.

  • Spark API / Space Coast Association of REALTORS® — provides the listing data displayed on the Site. Listing data flows one-way from the MLS to the Site; no information you submit on this Site is transmitted to the MLS, the Space Coast Association of REALTORS®, or Spark.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — provides hosting and storage infrastructure for the Site, including cached listing photos and form submissions. Visitor data beyond standard web-server logs and form submissions is not transmitted to AWS.

Cookies

The Site does not set marketing, analytics, or advertising cookies. The only cookies set on the Site today are those placed by Google reCAPTCHA on pages that contain a form. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, this policy will be updated and the change will be noted in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Data Retention

We retain submitted contact and valuation information for approximately two years from the date of your last interaction with us so that we can respond to follow-up questions. Some records must be kept longer to meet Florida brokerage recordkeeping rules (currently five years under Fla. Admin. Code 61J2-14.012). If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law or by a pending transaction. Security of Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information you submit through this Site, consistent with the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171). We dispose of records containing personal information by secure deletion when they are no longer needed. If a security incident affects personal information as defined under Florida law, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, the Florida Department of Legal Affairs, within the timeframes required by § 501.171.

Your Choices

We do not currently send marketing email newsletters. If that changes, every marketing message will include a one-click unsubscribe link and a reply-to address. Transactional messages about an active inquiry or transaction are not marketing and may continue until the matter is closed.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy
